Founder, ISHOT Security Academy

Military service and years of security work taught him one thing: good training is what keeps a person calm when something goes wrong. He founded ISHOT Security Academy to teach that same standard to new officers.

A Practical Parking and Circulation Plan

Parking and access information below reflects the City staff report.

    The City Code calculation requires four parking spaces for this use.

    Classes will be limited to a maximum of 15 students.

Section 08 · Conditions of Approval

Nine Conditions of Approval

Our Formal Commitment to the City of North Lauderdale

“ISHOT Security Academy accepts and agrees to comply with all nine conditions of approval contained in the City staff report and proposed resolution for SEU 26-01.”

Approved Use

Unarmed Training Only

The approved use shall be limited to the operation of an unarmed security officer training academy as described in the application and supporting materials.

Legal Compliance

Full Legal Compliance

The applicant shall comply with all applicable provisions of the City of North Lauderdale Code of Ordinances and all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and permitting requirements.

Required Approvals

Approvals Before Opening

The applicant shall obtain all required approvals prior to commencing operations, including but not limited to a Certificate of Occupancy, Local Business Tax Receipt, and any applicable permits required by the City.

Operating Hours

Approved Operating Hours

The facility shall operate only during the hours identified within the applicant’s Letter of Intent, specifically 8:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, unless otherwise approved by the City.

Chapter 493 and FDACS

State Training Compliance

The applicant shall comply with all applicable requirements of Chapter 493, Florida Statutes, and all regulations administered by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services governing unarmed security officer training facilities.

Safety and Accessibility

The applicant shall comply with all applicable Fire Code, Building Code, Life Safety Code, and accessibility requirements prior to occupancy and throughout the operation of the business.

The applicant shall maintain safe vehicular circulation, pedestrian access, and parking throughout the site at all times.

Corrective Measures

Responsive Operations

Should the operation of the facility create parking deficiencies, traffic congestion, excessive noise, or other operational nuisances that adversely affect adjacent properties, the applicant shall implement corrective measures as required by the City.

Any expansion, intensification, or material change in the approved use shall require review and approval by the City in accordance with applicable provisions of the Code of Ordinances.
